We are incredibly honored and proud to be acknowledged for an effort that was created to help our partners in the performing arts navigate especially challenging times.
Staging-A-Comeback has been recognized with two 2022 SMPS Boston Communications Awards in the categories of Social Media & Best-In-house Design (Small firm).
For reasons we are all too aware we understood early on in 2020 that working remotely resulted in a great majority of people being more active on social media platforms. At the same time, Wilson Butler Architects have always believed the arts are critical to our well-being and have been for thousands of years. As architects, we recognize that it is our role to design places where the community can feel safe, feel welcomed, and enjoy themselves. Qualities such as these were needed more than ever as theaters, performing arts centers, and communal gatherings across the world were shuttered due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Spearheaded by the Marketing and Business Development department, our design studio was charged to brainstorm and develop solutions that explored technical modifications and enhancements for performance venues, adaptive measures for performers and patron interactions, together with the growing use of technology and social media to leverage outreach and community engagement during periods of social distancing and uncertainty. The ideas and infographics created as a result were shared on social media for a period of nine months. More details here.
